Raj gundha trek, Camping IN Bir Billing Valley

Bir-Billing, Himachal Pradesh.

Itinerary for Monastery visit, Trekking to Raj Gundha, Camping & Paragliding in Bir Billing valley:-.

 
Day 1:- Arrive Bir, Activities optional and overnight stay in Hotel at Bir.
Arrive Bir, Option to do paragliding, Mountain Biking, Local sightseeing
 

• Paragliding – 15-20 min paragliding session @ INR 3000/- Per Person.
• Mountain Biking – half day @ INR 500/-, Full day @ INR 1000/-.
• Local sightseeing to 9th century shiva temple, Palpung Sherabling monastery by car @ INR 800/-.

 
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Bir.
 
Day 2: Drive and trek to Raj gundha village campsite.
Drive from Bir to Badagran (70 km/3 hrs).
Post breakfast, drive for 70 km from Bir to Bada gran for 3 hrs. Bada gran village is last road head of the valley. You can visit Barot valley enroute.
 
Badagran to Raj gundha(5 km/2 hrs).
Later start trek from Badagran village which is 2-3 hrs. Badagran village is tribal village with old structured houses which is built of stone, mud and woods. Villagers here are depending on agriculture. They grow vegetables here, which are exported to lower parts of Himachal and to Punjab.
 
Trek passing through fields and then enter to Oak and rhododendron forest to reach Uhl river. Cross river by improvised suspension bridge. Follow the trail to reach Gundha village.
 
Bonfire, Dinner and Overnight stay in Dome tents at Raj Gundha village.
 
Day 3:- Raj gundha to Biling trek and departure
Post breakfast, we start our trek from Raj Gundha village. After Raj gundha village trek enter to Deodara and Oak forest. Trail start gaining altitude till Channa ghat, which is highest point of trek at 2700 mts from sea level. From Channa ghat, we have the view of Thamsar peak and Billing on the other side. Trekking for more 2 -3 hrs you will reach at Billing, which is take off point of Paragliding.
 
Drive from Billing to Bir (16 km/1 hr drive)
Reach by 1500 hrs and later depart back to your destination

Per Person Price for above arrangements is INR 4200/- per person + 5% GST.

Supplement charges for Half day mountain Biking is INR 400/-,

Supplement charges for Volvo bus from Delhi to Bir and Bir to Delhi is INR 2600/- Per Person.

Supplement charges for 15-20 min paragliding session is INR 3000/- Per Person

Supplement charges for sightseeing of 9th centaury Shiva temple and Palpung Sherabling Monastery is INR 800/- by car (max 4 guests in a Car)

Above price includes the following services:-.

• Accommodation for 01 night stay at Hotel in Bir and 01 night at Raj Gundha in dome tents on twin/triple sharing basis.
• Meals from Dinner on Day 1 to Breakfast on day 3 as per itinerary.
• Accompanied by local guide for trekking.
• Bir to Bada Gran 70 km drive and Billing to Bir 16 km drive .
• Trekking on day 2 and on day 3.
• Enroute visit Barot on day 2.
• Trek start at 0800 hrs.
• Sleeping bags, mattress and dome tents provided for stay at Raj gundha.

The above price excludes the following services:.

• Delhi to Bir and Bir to Delhi Volvo buses.
• Paragliding session of 15-20 mins. from Billing to Bir on day 1.
• Visit to 9th century Baijnath temple and Palpung Sherabling Monastery, Bhattu.
• Travel insurance covering medical evacuation, hospitalization, baggage insurance and trip cancellation.
• Any meals other than specified in the program.
• Any en-route or personal expenses such as alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, tips & gratuities, laundry etc.
• Videography of Paragliding, supplement charges for GOPRO video is INR 500/-, provided by pilot and ask him for the same.
• Personal equipment for trek like clothes, shoes, day packs, personal medical kit etc. However, light weight carry-mattresses with sleeping bags will be provided by us inside the tents during the trek.
• Any exigency expenses caused by or liability for disturbance in trip program due to circumstances beyond our normal control. Such as airline delays, road blocks, vehicle malfunctions, weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots etc.

LIST OF THINGS TO CARRY FOR TREKKING AND PARAGLIDING:.

• Please do not carry unnecessary items or valuables. Considering camping, trekking and Paragliding in outdoors, Be sure you have the needy items!.
• T-shirts/ sweat shirts.
• Light weight long trousers considered comfortable during outdoors.
• Wind proof jackets & Rain gear for trekking.
• Warm clothes/jacket especially for evenings and mornings. Layers of clothing, is preferable to a big thick jacket (thermals are recommended for the innermost layer). This way you can add or remove layers according to the climate, which can change rapidly.
• A daypack (Knapsack) to carry your water bottle, camera, pack lunch etc for hiking.
• Sun glasses with 100% U/V protection, cap, sun block (30% and above SPF).
• Retainers for spectacles/ sun glasses.
• Camera with extra batteries/ film/ memory card.
• Flashlight with extra batteries & Bulb for camping.
• Personal toiletries & medicines.
• A pocket- knife (Swiss Knife).
• YOUR SENSE OF HUMOUR !.
• SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE !.

 
Booking Procedure
To ensure the booking, 50% of the total payment at the time of booking and balance once you will check in at the camp.
 
Cancelation Policy

• 15 days prior to travel date: 50% refund of package cost.
• 15 days – travel date: No refund.
