Arrive Bir and drive to Billing starting point of the trek which is at 2430 mts from sea level and famous for paragliding, spend a night here to acclimatize.
Overnight stay in dome Tents.
Morning after breakfast with packed lunch start trekking towards RajGundha village. Trail goes to uphill for first 15 mins. to reach a proper wide trail. Trek is passing through dense Oak, Rhododendron and Deodar’s trees. There are so many endangered birds in the forest, so stay silent to spot some. Enjoy the nature at its fullest here.
After trekking to 2-3 hrs, you reach at the highest point of the trek at 2700 mts. at Channa ghat, where you have the view of two valleys. One side Kangra valley and other Raj-gundha valley with snow covered mountain range of Himalaya’s. Visit Saptvadini temple and later resume trek to other side of valley to Raj-gundha village. Trek from here is downhill. Environment here is fresh and aroma od Deodara forests rejuvenate the body cells. After trekking of 1-2 hrs, you reach Raj gundha forest and Kukkar gundha villages.
Kukkar Gundha and Raj gundha are twin villages. These villages are still not connected with motor able road. Amazing views and the loveable aroma all around the valley. This valley is full of wild life and many endangered species of birds. Forest area around here falls in the Dhauladhar wild life sanctuary. Villagers of Raj-gundha live here for 8 months and move to lower places due to heavy snowfall and considered as Semi Nomadic. Houses made up of old traditional way with stone and mud. Villagers grow vegetables and pulses in the summers. Vegetables and pulses grown here considered as organic as no chemical fertilizers used here. All the growing vegetables supplied to the region of Punjab and Himachal. This is the main source of income of local villagers. Villagers are shy to talk but very hospitable.

Spend some time in the Raj gundha and Kukkar gundha villages to know their culture, livelihood, tradition homes. This is the last village in this part of the valley. Later we start our trek to Palachak. Trail passing through dense forest of Deodar’s and the Oak. Trek is easy and well defined route. We cross an improvised bridge to reach Plachak Camping area. Campsite is along the Uhl river. Uhl river is famous for Trout fishes. Camping near the Uhl river.

Post breakfast start trek to Badagran village, we follow the same trail for backwards for while and then divert towads Bada gran village. We need to croos bridge and the trail leads us to Bada gran village. This is very close to last road head. After spending some in village to know their life, we walk to our vehicle.
Bara gran is an old village. Village houses constructed with stone and big logs. This village is recently connected by road with the other lower area of Himachal Pradesh. Villagers live on cattle’s and the vegetables they grow. Valley is tremendously fertile to grow the vegetables and the pulses. Area is disconnected with other world in winters due to heavy snow fall.
Bara gran village is 17 km. from Barot and 70 km. to Bir. Visit Barot town, if time permit. Later drive to Bir and transfer to our campsite.
Barot is a picnic spot and tourist location. The town has a range of outdoor activities, including a trout breeding centre from where fish are released into the Uhl. A 30 km. section of the river is used for angling. Barot also forms the gateway to the Nargu Wildlife Sanctuary which lies across the Uhl. The sanctuary is home to the monal, black bear and ghoral.. Through woods of cedar and pine a trek route cuts across the sanctuary to Kullu.
Overnight stay in Bir Billing Campsite.
Morning post breakfast drive for 18 kms for take-off point to Billing for paragliding flight of 15-30 mins. Landing at Bir and visit Palpung Sherbling monastery, Bhattu. Overnight stay in Camp Oak View, Bir.
