All types of pilots and teams operational at Bir – experience, new, some unlicensed, beginners, good equipment, old equipment. He is the Chief flying instructor and handling our team. The team’s head knows paragliding himself or not. If not then please beware, as an good leader and trainer can tell his team about safe flying and recognize if they have to lack in some points.

Arvind Paul is our Chief Flying Instructor. Hailing from the lush precincts of Bir, not only does he talk to the wind himself, he’ll make you do it too. Literally, we mean. One of the most experienced instructors and top pilots of India, Arvind started his flying career in 2001, gradually translating his childhood dream into reality in the mighty folds of the Dhauladhars, despite the misgivings of his family and friends because of the extreme risks involved.
 
Arvind’s achievements include a Third place finish among Indian nationals in the Paragliding World Championships in 2015, 2013 and 1st in Paragliding open championship at Panchgani, where he has been a regular participant since 2006. He stood First in the Himalayan Open Paragliding Championship 2010. Arvind’s jolly nature and flying abilities have made him extremely popular with the birds in the region (no, we’re not kidding!).
