Paragliding is adventure activity which always involves risk. But risk is only when Pilots not following norms for paragliding and fly without safety factors. These risk can be minimizing if you choose proper experience paragliding team.
 

Paragliding activity major factors for safety:-

Equipment: – Para glider, carabineers, Harness, helmet, lines are major safery factors.

Paragliding is most important part of paragliding as this is your wings in air and most concern of safety during paragliding. It does not mean a good clean glider and color means a glider is healthy for flying. There is a specific life of a glider, which is considered as 300 – 400 flying hrs, which means a glider can fly safer till 300 – 400 hrs, after that its canopy is start spoiling and getting loose, its strength and ability to hold air in it decrease day by day. Glider is attached you with tiny lines or ropes and these ropes are tied with glider with knots, but old glider is not able to take lord at the point of knot and lines disconnected with glider if any extra stress on it.
 
Mostly good teams at Bir sell these gliders after 200-300 hrs of flying or use these gliders for training purpose. But some purchase these gliders and fly till bad end of it. Carabineer.

Carabineer is hard metal equipment which connects ropes or lines from glider with you or your harness (where you seated or tied). Healthy carabineer can take load to may tons on it, where as its life is short. This is most important part as it’s your connection with your wings or glider. Some time paragliding pilots use old Carabineer, some time they use carabineer of solo paraglider (solo paragliding carabineer take load of one person only and have less safety factor), once pressure on the glider its break and you are in trouble. Carabineer is taking load as dead weight and Forces Generated weight – when its normal flying as no much turns, just fly from Take off to landing, it’s as dead weight as no extra force applied on it and fly with same weight through paragliding flight. But if you need to turn of it or do some acro, stunts or flips, which increase force on carabineer and put extra weight , this is the time when week carabineer collapse and accident happens.
 

Harness.

Harness is the equipment which is attached to you and tied so that you are not fall during your paragliding flight, Harness is provide you the space to sit during flight and provide you the comfortable and safe flight, unless buckles on it and its strength is week.
 

Helmet.

Helmet at your head provide safety to your head. This is compulsory part and must for all tourist and pilots safety.
Lines or ropes connecting you and glider, these ropes are thin and tiny. Paraglider has many thin ropes connected with glider to harness. So strength of it is very important. Regular check is required for each rope in regular interval of time. These ropes help in maintaining body weight and balancing weight on glider.
 

Experience: -Experience pilots and its expertise

 
Experience of a pilots is very important. A pilot receive license from Tourism department on the scale of its safe flying from take off to Landing, but it’s not means a license holder is experienced to handle all situations in air and prepared for safe landing in all circumstances. It’s like a new license holder driving Car. It’s expertise comes to pilots with time as much they fly in glider. Flying with new comer and an experienced pilots is totally different for safety point of View and comfortless during flight as easy, comfortable take off and safe landing. As you know new pilots charge you less and experience charge more, so it’s your decision to fly with. Here pilots with more than 10 years of experience and pilots with few months experience. Training:-

Training:- Training of paragliding techniques and regular check of pilots flying style and how safe they are flying is important for safety to avoid accidents.
A good paragliding team needs a good leader to control pilots. Some pilots taking risks during flights and good team leader teach then time to Time for safe flight and aware them to bad corners, risk factors here during flight.

Registrations:-

Pilots registered with tourism department here. Tourism department here is very important role to control pilots of Paragliding. Whether pilot flying paraglider is registered or not. Registration means person is a pilot and know flying, but does not means how pilot is experienced enough to fly with all safety techniques.
How to choose good team for paragliding for safety and comfortable experience.
Pilots following all norms for paragliding and good to fly with. Please do bit of research about the Paragliding team with whom you are flying with. Who is Chief flying instructor who is handling team. Team’s head know paragliding himself or not. If not then please beware, as good leader and trainer can tell his team about safe flying and recognize if they have lacking in some points.
 

Safety is Prime concern in adventure activity and Aeo-sports have no second change. Please beware from paragliding team which has not recommendation.
 
If you fly with a team or pilots with no recommendation and that team just give information of flying at its cheaper rates, may lead you to trap to such pilots. They have low cost as they are not spending money on equipment replacement maintenance for considering safety.
