Hanuman Garh Trek in Bir Billing:-
Altitude – 10000 feets from sea Level
Difficulty Level – Moderate (last 1 hr is uphill and steep trek)
Driving to starting point of trek :- 25 km drive one way
Climate – Cold throughout the year, do carry Jacket and umberalla.
Trek duration – Full day trek – 3 hrs trek upwards and 2 hrs trek on return.
Food options:– Carry your packed lunch. There is a magi, tea shop at Channa where taxi drops you, but close sometime.
Highlights 360 view from top of Hanuman Garh – Himalayan Mountain ranges on side and Kangra Valley view on other side.
Camping options – This is day trek – so no camping there, avoid any option if offered camping as not safe due to wild animals and locals not allowed.

Hanuman Garh Trek
Drive to Channa from Bir (25 km/1 hr and 30 min)
Post breakfast drive to Channa which is 25 km/1 hr and 30 min drive from Bir.
Channa to Hanuman Garh (9 km / 5 hr, 10500 fts.) – Snow at some spots during trek from Dec to last week of March
Start trek with gaining some instant height to reach Saptwadini Devi Temple. Trekking is considered easy to Moderate. Trek is passing through dense forest of Deodara, Rhododendron, blue pine, green Oak, brown Oak and silver fir trees. Easy trek for 1 hr to reach water sourse point Ridge and then uphill for 1 hr to Reach Top point Hanuman Garh which is 10500 ft from sea level. Hanuman Garh provides view of 360 degree , one side Himalayan Range and other side Kangra valley. Later start trek to Channa Ghat mod to reach vehicle, takes 2 hr.
Drive Channa Pass to Camp Oak View, Bir. (25 km/ 1 hr 30 min, drive)
Drive from Channa to Bir, reach Bir and transfer to Camp Oak View.
Waterfall Trek:-
Altitude – 5000 feet from sea Level
Difficulty Level – Moderate to Tough (Trekking through cold water of flowing stream, cross few boulders )
Guide – Guide is required for this trek (difficult for some people)
Driving to starting point of trek :- 7 km drive one way
Trek duration – Half day trek – 45 mins to 1 hr trek one way.
Climate – Normal, do carry water cloths or shoes or spare pair.

Rajgundha Village trek:-
Altitude – 8200 feet from sea Level
Difficulty Level – Drive possible till Rajgundha Vaillage.
Distance:- 30 km drive one way from Bir Paragliding landing site.
Duration – Full day required.
Climate – Cold throughout the year do carry warm jacket.
Food options:- Carry your packed lunch. There is a maggi, tea shop at Billing, Channa and Rajgundha.
Highlights – Tribal Village houses at Rajgubndha, Channa Point – 20 min trek to Saptwadini devi temple, Gatse ka bridge over Uhl river view point.

Raj gundha is old traditional village with old styled house where semi-nomads reside. These people lives here in summer and monsoon and move to lower houses near Bir during winters. As Rajgundha experience heavy snowfall in winters, roads and trek closed to Rajgundha.
Visit village and resume drive to Uhl river bridge called Ghatse ka bride. Spend some time here, few shops as well. Later drive towards Badagran, Option to walk through village and visit water floor mill near road. Board car and drive to 17 km to reach Barot.
Thathi Village Trek:-
Altitude – 6800 feet from sea Level
Difficulty Level – Easy trek.
Distance:- Directly start trek from Camp Oak View which is 2 hrs trek or drive for 15 km from Bir and 3 km trek .
Duration – Full day required.
Climate – Cold throughout the year do carry jacket.

Thathi Village
Tribal Village Treks of Bir Billing.
Thathi Village is a group of three tribal villages, namely Kothar Thathi, Chougan Thathi and Kryon Thathi. None of these tribal villages having road connectivity. Villagers lead a semi-nomadic life , spending one half of the year at Thathi and the rest in Bhangal Valley, where they spent most of the summer where they grow vegetables. Some of the villagers are shepherds and travel with their flocks to higher grazing fields in Dhouladhar ranges from April to October. Houses are constructed old traditional pahari way. If you stay at Camp Oak view, the village is 2-3 hour trek from the camp.
Bir to Billing Trek:-
Altitude – 8000 feet from sea Level
Difficulty Level – Easy to moderate trek.
Distance:- 4-5 hrs trek from Bir village to Billing. Directly
Duration – Full day required.

Difficulty Level – Easy to moderate trek.
Distance:- 90 km drive from Camp Oak View, Bir and 5-6 hrs trek from Tatwani Hydroproject.
Duration – 2 Days required.

For trekking drive for 90 km takes 3 hrs to starting point of trek at Nouli village. Trek is easy to moderate for 5 hrs trekking. Trek is along river stream all the way, many times you have to cross it over improvised bridges. There is temple at top at the bank of Lake and Camping option as well. but book it prior for comfortable, some times its not available.
