Bir Billing is located north east of Himachal Pradesh at the edge of Kangra Distt sharing boarder with Mandi Distt. Village Bir Billing is divided in many small parts. Tourist destination Bir is know for Paragliding adventure which is best in world and called as 2nd highest site for paragliding. Bir Billing hosted Paragliding world cup in 2015 and pre world cup every year. Bir Village where local resides and known for Swami Visudhanand Saraswati who lived for 158 years till 2022 (smadhi year), Govt. Sen. Sec. School, Bir, Primary health center, Bir, Veterinary hospital, Tea Factory of Bir, Forest Rest House, Tourist Information center and National Institute of Paragliding, Bir.

Billing at 8000 fts from sea level experienced snow during winter.
Billing is ridge at the top of hill which is Paragliding take off point at 8050 fts from sea level. Paragliding take off point is 14 km from Bir Village takes 40 min to reach in mountain road. All tourists has to reach at Bir and travel with pilots to Billing for Paragliding. No accommodation facilities, electricity, water facilities at Billing. Few food joints for Maggi, Tea there. Do carry Jacket to Billing Irrespective to season as Billing cold in all seasons, its cold and windy due to its Kangra valley facing location.

Chougan village at 4500 fts from sea level.
Chougan Village is 1st village, tourist encounter approaching Bir Billing. Chougan Chowk where there is diversion to Paragliding Take off point (16 km from here) and Paragliding landing area (1.5 km from here). Few guest houses, wine shop of Bir and few confesnery shops at Chougan Chowk. If drive towards left from chowk you diverted towards Tibetan colony market area enroute – Tsering Jong Monastery, Deer Park meditation center, volvo bus stand, handicraft shops, few Tibetan monasteries, number of Cafes and restaurant, few congested guest houses till Paragliding landing site. Whole Tibetan colony is 1.5 km from Chougan Chowk to Landing site of Paragliding. Suggested to visit whole area by walking as road is very congested due to traffic. Other diversion of Chougan Chowk is towards Launch site of Paragliding – open roads with few homestays and hotel till kotli village.

.Ghodnala village at 5500 fts from sea level and little bit snow duringwinter.
Ghodnala village is 4 km from Bir chowk and 4.5 km from Paragliding Landing site both roads meet at Chamba road where forest boards and Camp Oak View Boards. Chamba road is entry point of Ghodnala which is 2.5 km from here. Ghodnala is small halmet surrounded by Oak and Rhododendron forest. Origin of two small steams origin near Camp Oak View. Camp Oak View is best Camp of Bir Billing as best hotel in Bir Billing with Machaan Cottages, Glass house cottage, Family cottage and Machaan Tent. Sunset point at Ghodnala has best views. Temperature is 5 degree less from Bir at Ghodnala in summers due to its geographic location. Ghodnala is known for best hotel Camp Oak View for stay. Options here as Family cottages, Wooden Machaan Cottage and Machaan Tent at Camp Oak View. Gharnala village known for best sunset point, tourists can start trek from forest guests house via Bari village, Donadi village and passing through Camp Oak View till sunset point for valley view sunset along with winterline and return taxi charges INR 300 as its dark during return.

Keyori village is start just after crossing Bir stream after Paragliding landing site. This congested village with narrow road and few guest house inside village. Keyori has Pine forest in backdrop and few tea Garden.

Kotli Village at 5000 fts from sea level.
Kotli Village is between Chougan village and Bir Village. Few hotels both side of roads and local resides in kotli.

Gunaid Village at 5200 fts from sea level.
Gunaid village is known for Gunaid waterfall and Banghodu village, one of the best waterfall of Himachal as its location and route. Gunaid village is also a start of old trek route to Rajgundha through Panjol dugh.

RajGundha Village 8300 fts from sea level and heavy snowfall during winters.
RajGundha village is farest village in Bir Billing valley. Village is 12 km from Billing and 26 Km from Bir village. Nor the RajGundha is connected with road but closed in winter due to heavy snowfall in valley. Trekking is also not safe during winter as slopes are risky. Mid March to Mid July is best time to visit and again from October to mid December. RajGundha is seminomadic village as inhabitants shifted to lower houses during winter and return again post winter. Valley is very beautiful and surrounded by Himalayan range, Devdara, Tosh forest and located at bank of Uhl river. Trek to RajGundha is very famous but suggested for guide during trekking, don’t try alone. During summer you can drive guests can drive all the way from Bir to Billing to Raj Gundha to Badagran to Barot to Jogindernagar to Bir again in evening covering almost 100 km in day.

Bhattu Village at 4000 fts from sea level.
Bhattu Village is 6 km from Paragliding landing site and home of Palpung Sherabling monastery where series of Stupa and study center of Monks. There are two main monasteries which are divided for small monks and young monks. New monasteries for young monks and older monasteries for small monks. Best route for cycling or mountain biking. Paragliding landing site to Bhattu monastery takes 45 min and return 90 min via cycling.
