Prashar Lake – easy approach by road – 9010 feet above from sea level.

Kareri Lake – 12 km one way trek – night camping required – 12900 feet from sea level.
Lake is accessible by trek of 12 km from last road hear at Naouli village bridge. Lake is located 9700 feet from sea level. Best option for stay at Oak lodge at Boh before trek or the other options at dharamshala which is 2 hrs drive away. Pathankot is 55 km away from Nouli village.
If one have spare days and can trek more, trek can be extended to Lam dal at 12900 feet from sea level. It takes 2 more days.
Sirloskar lake – Easy trek in wilderness – 5 km trek – 10300 feet from sea level.
Sirloskar Lake one of the high altitude lakes of Himachal at 10300 feet from sea level with easy trek. One of the amazing trek in the widerness of Banjar valley in Kullu distt. Lake is 5 km away from forest camp at Jalori pass. Sirloskar lake has Bhudhi Nagin Temple and amazing views in wilderness.
Maharana Pratap sagar lake – Dec to March – road approach – 1400 feet from sea level.
Dam bed reduces in summer from march to June and Bathu temple came from water. Dec to March is time for migratory birds in the lake. One can drive till the water at many points as Nagrota suriyan, Jwali – for Bathu temples. Maharanapratap sagar lake is 115 km drive take 3 hrs to reach from Bir Billing. Man made lake over Beas river with Pong Dam at the boarder of Himachal and Punjab. Cannels provide water to Rajasthan and Punjab
Beas kund lake – 12 km tough trek – 12300 feet from sea level.
Lake of Beas kund is source of Beas river and located adjacent of Beas kund glacier of 1 km long. Beas kund lake is located at the base of Friend ship peak, Sithidar peak and Hanuman Tibba. Meling snow is source of Beas kund. Trek is 3 – 4 days. Starting point of trek is Dhundi which is south end of Rohtang tunnel. Trek is 9 km till Bakarthach for night stay and another full day return trek to Beas kund and again camping at Nakar thach. Same day you can visit Beas kund glacier. Bakathach has amazing view of Hanuman tibba and seven sister snow patch.
Chander tal – roas acess, trek of 2 km only easy – – 14100 feet from sea level.
One of the best lake in the no tree zone and accessed by road till 2 km from lake. Lake is also known for UFO landing point. Lake is 140 km 7 hrs drive away from Manali. Chandertal lake is source of Chandra bhaga or Chenab river.Lake is high altitude lake located at 14100 feet from sea level situated in spiti region of Himachal Pradesh near Kunjum pass – gateway of Kaza. Road is in very bad shape need high ground clearance vehicle. Chandertal lake can be covered during road trip to Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh.
Suraj Tal Lake and Deepak tal – road access – 14800 feet from sea level.
Drive to Leh from Manali is considered one of the best road trip in the world. Half part of the road is in Himachal and half in union territory of Ladakh. Suraj tal is located at the base of Baralacha pass at 14800 feet from sea level. Having old mountaineer institute destroyed during avalanche. Manimahesh Lake – 24 km trek – 13500 feet from sea level.
lake at Manimahesh is located in Chamba district of Himachal. Manimahesh Lake is pilgrimage for Hindu’s and trek open from July to Sept for 3 months. Manimahesh is dedicated to Lord Shiva and lake is at the base of Manimahesh Kailash Mountain. Road is till Harsar village, which is 13 km from Bharmour and 13 km trek till lake from Harsar.
