Bir Waterfall Trek.
The waterfall trek is very popular in Bir Billing due to its unique location. Trek to the waterfall is not easy as it’s through a water stream and slippery boulders. The waterfall is 70 feet high and has very cold water.
A waterfall is called by many names as – Banghodu Waterfall, Bheem Pather Waterafall, Gunaid Waterfall, Bir Waterfall, or Hidden Waterfall. The waterfall is located in Gunaid village which is adjutant to Bir.
How to Reach the Starting Point of Waterfall in Bir.
There are two ways to reach the waterfall.
- The first route through Gunaid village. Trek is a 2.5 km trek from the bus stop. You can take a bus to gunaid village (the last stop). Gunaid is 4 km from the Bir Tibetan colony (Chougan Chowk) bus stop. Trek through the village to reach the starting point of the waterfall trek at Stream. During the trek, you pass through Bungee Jumping and Sky cycling adventure points. Trek is easy and passes through fields, route is not designated, and need to ask villagers for directions, which can easily get proper direction.
- 2nd route is through the Bir Billing route and can be done by taxi, personal car-bike, or sooty, there are no buses on this route. Drive is 7 km from the Tibetan colony bus stop (Chougan Chowk). There is a toll of INR 50 before reaching the Last point. The best directions to reach the waterfall trek starting point are — Start driving towards Billing from Bir and after paying the toll, take a right from 1st hairpin bend towards the waterfall, you find signboards here. the road is narrow after this point and part your vehicle where you find proper parking as the route becomes busy and jams and fewer parking spots. Reach at the starting point and trek towards the water stream.

Trek is through a water stream, the water is cold and boulders are slippery at a few points. Guides available here charge 200 to 500 per person who help you to reach till waterfall. This trek of 1 km takes 45 minutes due to its terrain. This is the best view at the last points and water drops start falling on you from afar. The valley is narrow and open at the last point. Water is very cold and difficult to stay long in water. Spend some time here and return on the same route.
After finishing the trek, you can experience Bungee Jumping and Sky cycling which is also one of the famous adventures among the traveler doing waterfall trek. Bungee Jumping charges INR 3100/- Per Person and Sky cycling is INR 2000/-.
Few Cafe are here to enjoy meals, Snacks, Tea, and coffee before leaving this beautiful experience of a waterfall trek.
